What is a dedicated team?

A dedicated team is a group of people, or a single person, assigned to your work and to nobody else’s. They learn your systems and your way of working and stay with your project for as long as you need them. They act as an extension of your own team rather than as a separate supplier.

How is this different from hiring contractors or recruiting permanently?

Recruiting permanently gives you long-term employees but takes time and carries long-term commitments. Hiring individual contractors is quick but leaves you to manage each one and to find cover when they leave. With Oblytech Team, we handle matching, onboarding, coverage and day-to-day logistics, and we stay accountable for the arrangement. You keep control of priorities and direction.

Can I meet the people before they start?

Where possible, yes, and we encourage it. A short conversation tells you a lot about how someone communicates and thinks. We would rather you were comfortable before the start date than surprised after it.

How do you keep continuity if someone leaves?

We plan for it from the start. People document their work, decisions are recorded in shared places and, for critical roles, a second person becomes familiar with the work. If someone has to leave, we agree the notice and hand-over with you and introduce a replacement carefully.

What about working hours and time zones?

We agree working hours at the outset, including a defined overlap with your team. We also agree how urgent matters are handled outside those hours and how public holidays are treated. Clear arrangements make distance a small matter.

Who owns the work that is produced?

The work belongs to you. We agree ownership and intellectual property terms in writing before work begins, so that there is no ambiguity about what you own and what you may use.

How do you handle confidentiality and security?

We treat everything you share as confidential and use it only for your project. We are glad to sign a confidentiality agreement before we begin, and to follow your own security requirements, including how access is granted and removed. When a person leaves your team, their access is closed promptly.

Can I replace someone if it is not working?

Yes. If a match does not work, tell us. We will listen, try to understand what is not right and, if needed, agree a replacement with a proper hand-over. We would rather resolve a poor fit quickly than let it drag on.

Can I change the size of the team later?

Yes. Teams can grow or shrink as your workload changes, with a reasonable notice period agreed in advance. We recommend planning changes together so that additions can be welcomed and reductions handled thoughtfully.

Do you manage the people, or do I?

You set the priorities and direct the work, as you would with your own team. We look after the logistics: onboarding, coverage, wellbeing check-ins and any performance conversations that need to happen. You do not need to manage payroll, leave or similar matters.

How quickly can someone start?

It depends on the skills you need and our current commitments. We will give you an honest estimate rather than an optimistic one. If you tell us about upcoming needs early, we can often prepare well in advance.
